DIAL (LEEDS) regrets to announce that our Disability Information and Advice Service jointly commissioned by Adult Social Care and Leeds Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be ending on 31/03/17. The contract will not be renewed due to budget pressures on statutory services. We realise this news will come as a big shock to you as it did to us. Fortunately expert help is on hand to ensure DIAL (LEEDS) survives and thrives.
In order for DIAL (LEEDS) to continue to serve disabled people in Leeds we are changing and need your help to shape the future.
DIAL (LEEDS) statement:
After 37 years of core funding (through grants and most recently a contract), the news came as a big shock to us.
Budget pressures on statutory services mean we need to find alternative sources of funding from 01/04/17.
Adult Social Care commissioners are working with us alongside Leeds University Business School and a range of individuals with key skills to ensure that DIAL survives and thrives.
The future of our unique holistic pan disability information, advice and support delivered by disabled people depends on DIAL being able to identify and secure sustainable funding and alternative income streams. All paid staff are currently on redundancy notices.
