DIAL (LEEDS) AGM will be held on Monday the 7th December 2015 at 2.00pm in the Training room at LCIL, Armley Grange Drive, Leeds LS12 3QH.
We hold our Annual General Meeting in early December to coincide with International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) – United Nations wording not ours! International Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and to mobilise support for dignity, rights and well being. It also seeks to increase awareness of the gains derived from the integration of disabled people in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. This year’s theme is: Inclusion matters: access and empowerment of people of all abilities.
More on this at the AGM and also on the opportunity for commemoration of IDPD to further raise awareness of disability as a cross – cutting development issue in all areas of life.
After the AGM there will be refreshments and the opportunity to meet and chat with DIAL (LEEDS) trustees, paid staff and volunteers. We look forward to welcoming old friends and new ones alike!
The Centre is located on Armley Grange Drive which is off Stanningley Road. There are signposts for both DIAL and LCIL from this point. Please let us know if you require directions.
There is limited parking for disabled people, so it would be gratefully appreciated if non disabled people would avoid using parking spaces on site. You may wish to consider using the number 72 Hyperlink bus that stops at the bottom of Armley Grange Drive or the 16 to St Mary’s Hospital. Both offer a frequent service.
The single storey LCIL building is wheelchair accessible and has the following facilities:
- Automatic entrance doors
- Unisex wheelchair accessible toilets
- An induction loop
- Automatic internal doors with ‘push pad openers’
Please let us know if you have any additional access requirements.
It would be helpful for seating arrangements and catering purposes if you could confirm that you will be attending and whether you will be bringing someone with you, are a wheelchair user or have an assistance dog.
Please could you also let us know if you have any specific dietary needs? Address, telephone and text relay numbers are given below.
